Actually, Emily’s weight today was measured at about 5 lbs 2 oz.  Although, you can’t always put much into suggested ultrasound weight.  Either way, she will most likely be bigger than R.

No, swollen feet or ankles. Sleep at night is hard, and then with the storms this week that didn’t help.  I feel good over all.  The dr wants to see me weekly until I give birth, oh well.  Everything is fine though.

I keep a flashlight by my side of the bed.  I hate storms ok, especially at night they freak me out. Besides going to the bathroom without that flashlight would have been hard.  So when I got up, I turned on one of my QVC flameless candles.  Those things are literally the best, and the scent I have vanilla is great too!  The candle stayed on until the lights came back on. Robert got up and rushed off to work, I wasn’t pleased with that.  Since we still didn’t have power, and R loves her warm milk.  We got power back by 10.  Or else he would have been hearing from me-cause I wasn’t going to stay in a house without power.

We got 3 inches of rain, which we needed.  A few high water rescues, which one I noticed made ABC news this morning.  Seriously, people when will you learn.  I love the rain, the storms not so much.

I would have a midwife but I was turned down, due to stupid moron doctor.  Then the midwives, I did meet I didn’t like.  I love my dr though.  That is saying alot, since I don’t trust most doctors.  Anyway, everything still looks good and you can’t ask for better than that.  Although, I think my feet may have gotten bigger.  If the next 11 weeks, continue like this we will all be happy!  And since, I can’t let stuff get me down and I know this.  I rewarded myself with a decaf peppermint mocha, YUM!!

I am thankful we aren’t going anywhere this year.  Really I am, it seems to be less stressful.  Sorry family, but I am.  It doesn’t mean, I don’t miss people though.

It really makes you feel good knowing you have so many more lbs to gain and everything else.  Seeing as some shirts barely fit me as is.  Emily and I are both healthy though, and her growth is normal.

We have an elf on the shelf but she ignored him.  All of a sudden he is a friend, who she named Belle.  We named him, George.  He sleeps in her room.

We always help out at Church during the month of December.  This year, a bit less due to sickness.  This year, we also have two Angel Tree kids.  That is something we want to be able to do every year.

A friend of mine was saying, that their Angel Tree kid had toilet paper on their list.  That really kind of put stuff in perspective.  Minutes later, R called me from the bathroom.  She had unrolled an almost full roll of tp.

Not that I am trying to saying that giving only needs to happen at Christmas.  It doesn’t.  But we really want R to have the right idea.  To be thankful for what she does have.  Not sure a 3 year-old can understand that, but she is pretty simple.  She does love to help others and cheer them up.

I am also trying to have either a gift limit or price limit to R’s toys at Christmas.  Hubby still has not agreed to either yet.  Small steps.

Our little community had it’s yearly Christmas light up last night.  The lights are always so pretty.  I like our little area.

I also dreamed of attending Baylor for years.  Never did.  Where I grew up you where either an Aggie fan or a Bear fan.  Cause we are just country people.

So for a local boy to win a Heisman, it is a big deal.  Go BEARS!!!  We are very proud of your great season.

You’re in the home stretch! The third and final trimester starts this week. If you’re like most women, you’ll gain about 11 pounds this trimester.

At this point, you’ll likely visit your doctor or midwife every two weeks. Then, at 36 weeks, you’ll switch to weekly visits.

Around this time, some women feel an unpleasant “creepy-crawly” sensation in their lower legs and an irresistible urge to move them while trying to relax or sleep. If this sensation is at least temporarily relieved when you move, you may have what’s known as restless legs syndrome (RLS). No one knows for sure what causes RLS, but it’s relatively common among expectant mothers. Try stretching or massaging your legs, and cut down on caffeine, which can make the symptoms worse. Ask your caregiver if you should try iron supplements, which can sometimes relieve RLS.

Other than allergies, and acid reflux I really do feel ok.  I had a bad leg cramp the other day but it turns out I just needed more magnesium and calcium.  Haven’t had one since.  Emily likes the banana, I eat with breakfast as well.  I am so not a banana person, but as long as likes them! I do get pretty tired at the end of the day though.  Emily’s kicks have gotten stronger and she is as feisty as ever.  I still do not want red meat.  Any other meat, I love!  Have eaten more fruit this week.

This pregnancy aside from the allergies which I knew would be the same, has been way different. Morning sickness, different cravings.  Then again, with this kid we eat way healthier and I rarely do caffeine.  No sodas, at all well I did do the occasional ginger ale with morning sickness.

still.  It takes it toll on Emily and I, too.  Emily DOES NOT like her sister’s loud top of the lungs screaming.  She did manage to dress herself, matching with shoes.  Ok, she always dresses herself matching not so much. Not that I care that she matches, I really don’t.  I pick my battles carefully.  She is even trying to dress weather appropriate.

Speaking of weather this is December.  Cold, wet and no sun.  Kind of starting to miss the sun, and kids not being able to play outside are going stir crazy.  R loves wearing her heavy coat, and her snow boots as she calls them.  No, she doesn’t own snow boots.

Oh, after throwing her fit she asked for more food.  Seeing as she weighs just under 30 lbs, she has gained.  We find another outfit every week that barely fits, course since they are winter outfits do I really care.  Then again, if we have a long winter.  Here is hoping, Emily is a completely different three-year old!

She is having allergy testing done again in Jan, so she will be going back in about 6 weeks groan.  We did buy her a new leotard last weekend on clearance-turns out we have to exchange it.  She is too pudgy for it, lol.  Ironically, one of R’s friends had pink eye last week.  I don’t think R caught from her though.  I know next year, might be rough with R in school all day.  All the germs she will bring home with her.

I found some warm fuzzy socks last week.  For myself, R loves them and wants some for herself.  Where do you find warm fuzzy socks for a toddler? Then again it may also be the colors, pink strips and polka dots.

We have an elf on the mantle.  R ignores him.  He is cute though!!  We have ordered Christmas stockings, 4 of them with our names on them.  I can’t wait to see the finished product.

My hair is really fluffy these days, I am getting a trim soon.  I got new brown boots, I love em.  I love boots. I love our cooler weather!

Your baby’s not the only one with more hair — your locks may look more full and lustrous than ever. It’s not that you’re growing more hair, but thanks to hormonal changes, the hair that you’d normally shed is sticking around longer than usual. Enjoy the fullness while you can — the extra hair will fall out after you give birth.

You may also notice that you can’t move around as gracefully as before. Unless your caregiver has advised you otherwise, it’s fine to continue to exercise, but follow a few safety rules: Don’t work out when you’re feeling overly tired and stop if you feel any pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. Don’t lie flat on your back and avoid contact sports as well as any exercise where you’re apt to lose your balance. I normally have very thick hair, but this week I am getting it trimmed.  Haven’t had a trim in months, and I should get one.  I never felt like I lost that much hair after R’s birth.

We watched the rest of the Baylor vs Oklahoma game.  Great game, and no we aren’t OU fans.  The first college team I ever liked was Baylor and it was the first campus I toured. Their campus is so beautiful.  For years, I wanted to attend Baylor.  So yes, we where for Baylor!!  I was so happy that they won!!!  All of other teams also won and UT lost.  That makes for a great day!

R is kind of on vacation this week.  She gets to stay up late and we aren’t on a schedule.  She is going to have summer school though.  We don’t want her to lose anything over the summer.  She is going to see a movie on Wednesday with friends.  Her first movie.  Three can be a tough age, but at the same time I like age 3.  She is such a little chatterbox.  She is eating us out of house and home.  Seriously the kid can put away more food than her Daddy.

Three-year-old are so not babies.  They tell you what they like, and don’t like.  They can be great helpers.

A sad note.  The water supply in my hometown has pretty much dried up.  Yes, this has never happened before, then again a drought this bad hasn’t before either.  They have bought water from another source for so many months.
